Germany’s economy may have shrunk by 0.25% in the final quarter of 2011, Norbert Raeth of the country’s federal statistics office, Destatis, said in a news conference Wednesday, the BBC reported. For the full year, Destatis said Germany’s economy grew by a “robust” 3%, slowing from a 3.7% growth pace seen in 2010.
